Ballymore registers as a Registered Provider

Ballymore has successfully registered as a for-profit Registered Provider (RP) with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), marking a significant step in the business’s ambition to deliver affordable housing across London.

28.01.2026

The move supports the company’s development pipeline of around 16,000 homes. Through its RP status, Ballymore will be able to de-risk affordable housing delivery, unlock grant funding, and enable large-scale urban regeneration projects to come forward at greater pace.

Ballymore will seek to become a GLA investment partner to optimise the delivery of future affordable homes that London needs.

John Mulryan, Chief Executive Officer, Ballymore UK:

“The RP registration has been a proactive response to the very real challenge facing large-scale housing delivery in London. The inability to secure a registered provider for Section 106 homes is a significant risk to bringing forward much-needed housing.

“By establishing our own RP we can unlock delivery while creating strong, sustainable, properly integrated communities – where people want to live and can genuinely thrive. This is not a magic wand by any means, but it is our hope that this move will enable delivery, reduce development risk, and put us in a strengthened position to work collaboratively with our public-sector partners to increase the supply of affordable homes where they are most needed.”

Ballymore, alongside its development management activities, also comprises dedicated construction and asset management teams in the UK. Ballymore Asset Management Limited (BAML) currently has over 10,000 homes under management, providing the operational platform to support long-term stewardship and compliance as a Registered Provider.
