Our Story

Ballymore is a pioneer in the world of property development. Founded in 1982 by Chairman and Group Chief Executive Sean Mulryan with his wife Bernardine Mulryan, Ballymore remains independently owned and managed by the family. For over 40 years now, we have been responsible for some of Europe’s largest regeneration and development projects.

Our work has encompassed everything from historic coastal sites in Ireland to entirely new urban districts in London. We’ve created corporate headquarters for KPMG and Barclays Bank PLC, revitalised historic dock buildings and established three of Europe’s tallest residential addresses.

We’ve combined bold ambition with innovation, efficiency and attention to detail, to prove that the homes that genuinely build communities and give people a real quality of life can be built wherever we operate.

With each passing year, the scale of our work increases. Ballymore’s international portfolio is filled with award-winning workspaces, homes, shopping centres and entire neighbourhoods. From Dublin and London to Bratislava and Berlin we have radically transformed places for the better, by using design, innovation and creativity. Ballymore create places with soul, in which people, business, culture and society can thrive.

Today, we remain owned and managed by Sean Mulryan and his family, who founded the business, in Ireland, in 1982.
