Working with our partner, Places for London, and through extensive engagement with the local community, we have designed a transformative masterplan for the redevelopment of Edgware. These plans will see thousands of new homes, new jobs, and green spaces delivered, centred around a new Edgware retail and transport hub.
Having acquired The Broadwalk Shopping Centre in 2020, our project team has spent the last three years working closely with the Edgware community and an extensive network of stakeholders to gain their insights into how the development can best serve the local community.
The £1.7 billion investment will deliver a new vibrant town centre destination to Edgware, creating over 1,400 full time jobs, and more than double the existing volume of retail and leisure uses as well as the reintroduction of a cinema. Further investment will go towards delivering health facilities such as GP surgeries, clinics and a dentist, plus a significant contribution to Barnet Council’s education budget.
The masterplan will also deliver 3,365 new homes, including 1,150 affordable, 11.9 acres of green and open space, including a new 4.7 acre Deans Brook Nature Park – unlocking land which has been inaccessible for almost 100 years.
