We’re partnering with Camden Council and life sciences developer and operator Lateral to deliver the Camley Street project – a flagship initiative within Camden’s Community Investment Programme.
Our plans include the creation of over 400 new energy-efficient homes, around 170 of which will be genuinely affordable. These will comprise a mix of homes at social rent, providing much-needed housing for families on Camden’s housing register, and intermediate homes offered at reduced rents with secure tenancies, helping key workers such as teachers and nurses to live and stay in the borough.
In addition to housing, we’re set to increase employment space across the site, delivering over 200,000 sq ft of Knowledge Quarter-led commercial space. This will create around 1,000 jobs across the light industrial, life sciences, technology, and digital sectors.
Camley Street will also become a greener, more connected part of Camden. New public spaces and enhanced biodiversity will support healthier living, and improved pedestrian and cycling routes will strengthen links to King’s Cross Central and Camden Town.
The development will play a key role in supporting a more inclusive local economy, with affordable and creative maker workspaces to nurture start-ups and SMEs, ensuring Camden remains a place where communities, enterprise, and innovation thrive side by side.
