We're now recruiting for a Fire Door Coordinator to join us at Head Office in Canary Wharf.
What you should know
The Fire Door Coordinator will act as the central point of coordination for the BMSL fire engineering team, serving as the primary contact for all operational support. Responsibilities span scheduling and programming work diaries and site visits, managing communication with leaseholders, organising bookings within internal systems, processing expenses, and responding to day-to-day queries.

Hours: 8:00 - 17:00
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (Monday - Thursday office based, Friday WFH)
Location: E14, Canary Wharf
Contract: 40 hpw, 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.
What you'll do
- Manage the fire door inspection programme, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, and oversight of inspector workstreams.
- Coordinate access to leaseholder properties, ensuring appointments are arranged efficiently and resolving any issues arising from inspections.
- Lead leaseholder engagement activities, including preparing bulletins, issuing communications, and supporting residents throughout the inspection process.
- Use b.Life to manage inspection bookings, ensuring a clear, reliable, and well-documented appointment process.
- Oversee FireDNA administration, ensuring the system provides accurate tracking and reporting; capture operational learnings and liaise with FireDNA to support ongoing software development and functionality improvements.
- Maintain a comprehensive inspection tracking process, ensuring full visibility of all doors within the portfolio and identifying any that remain outstanding.
- Support the operational needs of the fire door engineering team, including ordering uniforms, tools, equipment, and other required resources.
What you'll need to be successful
- Demonstrated experience in administration and facilities management, ideally within a health and safety or compliance-focused environment.
- Highly process-driven approach, with strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
- Confidence using analytical and database systems, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance obligations, with the ability to apply these in day-to-day operations.
