Alice Eve, Tamsin Egerton and Emilia Fox join forces to celebrate the first pieces of art at ‘Embassy Gardens’
Alice Eve, Tamsin Egerton, Emilia Fox, Kimberley Wyatt and Max Rogers, Vogue Williams, Hebe Flury, Kelly Hoppen, Natasha Corrett and Olivia Inge joined forces tonight to celebrate the first three sculptures at Embassy Gardens. Embassy Gardens, is the standout development in Nine Elms on the South Bank and is fast becoming a destination for culture, design excellence and creativity. Revealed last month as the home to the Sky Pool, the unveiling of three iconic sculptures by exceptionally talented British artists; Sarah Lucas, Simon Fujiwara and Mohammed Qasim Ashfaq, further cements the development’s status as a ‘destination by design’. Assembled guests enjoyed sirloin of beef with horseradish crème fraiche and Thai crab salad on chicory leaf with coriander and almond, followed by a sweet salted caramel brownie with raspberry paté de fruit and lemon meringue pie. Themed cocktails included ‘Orange blossom’ (Sipsmith Gin, Fever-Tree lemon tonic and orange blossom honey), ‘The Chatham’ (Sipmith Vodka, Fever-Tree ginger beer and lime juice), ‘A British Journey’ (Cloudy Apple juice, Earl grey syrup, lemon juice and soda water), in addition to Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc de Touraine, Special Cuvée and Peroni. Embassy Gardens has been heralded as London’s new diplomatic precinct, as it will sit adjacent to the new US Embassy and boasts striking views across the River Thames. The pinnacle of the development is the Sky Pool - a stunning suspended swimming pool which links two buildings at the tenth storey – the first of its kind in the world, which caused a sensation when plans were revealed earlier this year.
