讓慈善成為公司文化的核心

對於巴利摩人來說,慈善確實是從自家開始的。從騎自行車、划船、繩降到足球,今年夏季期間,從公司主管到幾百名員工,這些為慈善機構籌款的英雄們放棄自己的業餘時間,幫助慈善事業籌款解近4萬鎊。

Sophie Stretch說:“我喜歡為慈善事業做貢獻,這非常有益於公司的擴展和聯絡。” 這位新西蘭人是華殿和幸運島的商業協調人,也是今夏重要活動——巴利摩龍舟賽的主要發起人。

7月31日,陽光明媚,十艘特別的龍舟,上面有一個打拍子的鼓手和一名舵手,每艘船上都有十名巴利摩的划船手,賽程是Isle of Dogs的Millwall外碼頭,觀眾有大約百人。這個活動為幫助低收入家庭的兒童實現學習潛力的慈善機構Teach First 籌款超過一萬鎊。

Sophie所在的華殿號是第三名(倫敦城市島號是冠軍),講述了發起這個活動的原因。總公司的一位主管Terry Arnold在金絲雀碼頭車站外拿到一張呼籲大公司給予支持傳單。

“巴利摩立刻承諾會為自己公司內部的活動出資8,000鎊,我們從這裡開始”,Sophie給公司的志願者發送了聯名郵件,“那天很順利,最後舉行了燒烤,Teach First為所有的參與者提供了獎杯和獎牌。我們明年一定還會做。”

每艘龍舟都由十名巴利摩划船手划船,還有一名鼓手和一名舵手。

儘管巴利摩集團向合作的慈善機構和機構贊助“投資很多”,但是巴利摩的運營和通訊主管Linda Mulryan表示:“我們一直對於我們的團隊超出預期的回饋熱情印象深刻。今年夏季期間,人們為一些非常重要的慈善機構籌錢的活動非常精彩而且很有創造性。在巴利摩,我們一直都樂於盡一切能力支持這些努力,這也是我們所有的人加深了解的好辦法——無論是組成龍舟賽的團隊,跑5,000米,還是繞繩下降一棟大樓!”

比划船更讓人興奮,倫敦城市島開發團隊,在Steve Tennant的帶領下,為了慶祝居民入住,從開發項目第二階段的大樓繞繩下降,為慈善機構籌集了2.1萬鎊。

巴利摩的僱員為慈善機構籌款近4萬鎊

今年夏天,在幸運島工作的John Richardson參加了Grand Depart Classic,環法自行車賽頗具挑戰性的第一階段,為一個前列腺癌症慈善機構籌款1,508鎊。同樣是在幸運島工作的Dorota Krasnodebska、Ivan Bakovski和Henry O’Neill參加倫敦Vitality 十公里長跑,為一個卵巢癌慈善機構籌款350鎊。

今年第二屆皇家碼頭五人足球賽在Shoreditch舉行,為心理健康慈善機構MIND 籌集了5,200鎊。這個工地的僱員到目前為止已經為當地的慈善機構籌款1.65萬鎊。

此外,皇家碼頭的團隊還參觀了當地的學校,為當地的孩子設計的模型評分,這是倫敦Newham自治市建築未來項目活動的一部分。
