Bright Young Things Film Club season continues at Embassy Gardens
[LONDON: Friday 15 July 2016] Last night, The Bright Young Things Film Club hosted the second event in their four-part summer film series at Ballymore’s Embassy Gardens. Embassy Gardens is a new residential development at the heart of Nine Elms on the South Bank, wrapping around the new US Embassy. The development’s private cinema, The Maureen O’Hara, provided the ideal setting to host the Stephen Fry-narrated documentary Mahout: The Great Elephant Walk directed by Jack Wylson and James Dartnall. Before the film began, guests were treated to a drinks reception hosted by FIOL Prosecco and enjoyed nibbles provided by Market Porter. The seats in the Maureen O’Hara cinema were lined with bottles of Fiji Water and sharing bags of Propercorn. As the film came to an end, guests were served miniature Green & Black’s Ice Cream whilst Jack Wylson and James Dartnall, a showcase of veritable British talent who directed, edited and produced this documentary spoke candidly with the crowd at Embassy Gardens about making this award-winning film. Narrated by Stephen Fry, this film follows the story of ex-London city worker, now eco-lodge owner Tim Edwards, who needs to relocate four elephants between two national parks in southern Nepal. Led by the local Nepalese Mahouts, in this expedition, they must overcome teeming cities, searing heat, monsoon rains and untamed jungle. The film series continues at Embassy Gardens throughout July. - Ends - For further information please contact: Hayleigh O’Farrell Head of Communications Tel: +44 (0)20 7510 8329 Email: HO’Farrell@ballymoregroup.com About Embassy Gardens: Embassy Gardens is a landmark development, establishing a totally new community within central London, will see the creation of nearly 2,000 new homes, stunning landscaped gardens, a riverfront walk threading between Embassy Gardens to Battersea Park and vibrant new bars and restaurants providing a variety of al fresco spaces and 130,000 ft² of shopping space.
