Ballymore honoured at prestigious Property Week RESI Awards with wins for founder and chairman, Sean Mulryan and Royal Wharf
Ballymore Group reports key corporate milestones as Property Week Magazine’s RESI Awards honour Sean Mulryan, Chairman and CEO of Ballymore Group as ‘Personality of the Year’. In addition Royal Wharf, a development by Ballymore in partnership with Oxley Holdings, was also awarded ‘Best Development’ in a hugely competitive category, testimony to their influence on the property industry across London. The accolades come on the back of an exceptionally strong performance from Ballymore with:
  • The securing of forward contracted sales of £1.7bn across the London portfolio
  • Approximately 3,400 homes under construction in London
  • Secured funding for a further 2,800 homes in London to start in 2015
In awarding Sean Mulryan ‘Personality of The Year’, the RESI Award judges highlighted his visionary leadership of the world-class developer and his role in shaping major residential projects in London. His passion for quality and a commitment to design excellence sets him apart in today’s residential development market. Sean established Ballymore Group, when he was in his early 20s and the company is now synonymous with the regeneration of whole areas of London. Today Ballymore is active across the city, leading the way in a number of London’s major regeneration projects, including London’s Royal Docks and Nine Elms on the South Bank. Ballymore also received the ‘Best Development’ accolade for Royal Wharf, its joint development with Oxley Holdings located in London’s Royal Docks. When complete in 2020, Royal Wharf will be a neighbourhood of almost 3,500 new homes with new green spaces, high street and 500m river promenade. The judges awarded the development’s exemplary Georgian-influenced design style and contribution to wider placemaking in an area which is set to be revitalised in the coming years.
