BALTIMORE WHARF / DOCKLANDS / LONDON / UK
Unusually for a Docklands development envisaged as wholly modern and totally cosmopolitan, the first phase of Baltimore Wharf has been built using traditional materials to provide a range of generously proportioned, balconied apartments around a tree-lined central boulevard. In the second phase, a twisting tower of glass and steel at 150m is planned to give the whole development a dramatic and eloquent contrast of styles. We wanted Baltimore Wharf to deliver not just a high standard of living, but also a high quality of life: a health and fitness nightclub to cater for mind and body was planned from the outset as a central feature.
